Simona - Head Bar Tender
The World's End & The Underworld
Well first of all I was searching for a job in hospitality and Camden Town is my favourite area so I started looking for job over there. I decided to go the the World's End cause I was impressed by how big the place is and also I like Rock/Metal/Punk music. I saw the place, people and the atmosphere overall and I loved it so I handed my CV hoping they'd call me. They did, I'm working here and I love it .
I started work for the World's End in June 2014. I was working as a Bar Tender. Taking care of customer service, working on the till, tidying and cleaning common areas. I am now in the position Head Bar Tender so my duties have got a bit expanded. I make sure the bar which was assigned to me is running perfectly plus also make sure that people I work with know what their duties are and helping them out with things they aren't sure of or don't know how to handle.
Well in the morning we make list of duties to do and clean behind the bar. So I focus mainly on that if there aren't many customers around. But obviously if there are customers around I'm paying attention to customer service.
I love the atmosphere, music and I also really enjoy working with my colleagues.
Well so far I suppose it was my promotion to Head Bar Tender.
I assume working hard and thoroughly. People must be aware.
The training that I attended was really useful and that's what made me think of applying for the Supervisor position to learn more and get more experience.
As I've mentioned I do enjoy the job cause I'm surrounded by nice people (colleagues). I also like the music we play and overall environment in there.
You need to be ready for the hard work a hospitality job involves.
I have a few but one of the best movie is Chappie which is about the robot who has been made by people...
I love punk music and I've got more favourites but one of them is definitely from the band Ramones, the song called What Do I Get.
When it comes to people from work I would choose Dan Pitts, Gints V., Noemi P., Mia P., although is hard to choose I like all of them.
Portugal because I've never been there and country is beautiful as I've seen a lot of pictures and spoken to people who come from there.
