Tiffany - General Manager
I was employed as a Waitress first of all in the Portsmouth unit. From there I just gradually built on it, so from Waitress I went to Supervisor and learnt a bit more about the kitchen as well, got promoted to move to London, I was Assistant Manager for two years and then I got promoted to General Manager at Crown & Anchor and now I have moved to The Fox as General Manager.
I like the opportunities that unravel as you go through, there’s a lot of internal training, there’s a lot of trips with other people so you get to meet other managers and learn from them. The training you get is really good as well, they offer trips to breweries/distilleries and things like that and from all of that you get to progress through the company so it’s just a really good journey I guess.
It gets you motivated to strive to do your best within the company. It’s a lot of fun as well, you meet lots of interesting people along the way. You’re continuously learning on the job, even when you get to the point of General Manager. It’s a really great job and I’m excited for the future.
We’ve got lots of different pubs and venues which are all unique or themed, for example, we’ve got a rock ‘n’ roll venue like World’s End. There’s a diversity of units which you can experience yourself.
Moulin Rouge. I love musicals, plays and theatre so that’s one of my favourite films.
Superstition by Stevie Wonder because it just gets you in a dancing mood.
